Key responsibilities of this role
- Acting as the point of contact for the injured worker and support them throughout their recovery.
- Assisting injured workers to remain at or return to work while they recover from a work-related injury.
- Planning the worker's return to work if they require time away from work to recover and make decisions to progress their return.
- Consulting with the injured worker, their treating health practitioner, occupational rehabilitation provider, WorkSafe Agent or worker's representative if they have one.
- Monitoring the progress of an injured worker's recovery.
- Taking steps to prevent a recurrence or aggravation of the injury.
- Acting as a point of contact for a WorkSafe return to work inspector.
- Helping to resolve any issues or disputes related to return to work.
- Proficient and accurate recording of case notes
- Advance communication skills
- Intermediate/Advance Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Training and/or relevant experience as a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator
