Troocoo are delighted to be partnering with an industry leading financial services organisation, for the appointment of their next Senior Financial Accountant. This role is initially a 3-month contract opportunity and based in Brisbane's CBD.

About the role:
This Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing assistance to the Head of Finance with the consolidation and preparation of all internal and external reporting obligations.
The Senior Financial Accountant will succeed in this role by processing a high volume of work with minimal supervision, having a can-do attitude, ability to problem solve complex issues and focus on continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Financial Reporting & Financial Analysis.
- Oversee the month-end close process.
- Profit & loss analysis, including trend analysis and cost control advice.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in alignment with the month-end schedule.
- Support external and internal audit processes and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain controls over financial reporting processes.
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
- CA/CPA qualified
- 5 years experience in a similar role. Ideally working in the Financial Service industry
- Familiarity with and expertise in IFRS accounting standards
- Prior knowledge in ASIC regulatory guidelines is highly advantageous
