The Role
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, this Procurement Category Manager will partner with key stakeholders across the Marketing and Advertising category to lead and deliver specific category activities.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and drive the implementation of Procurement strategies, policies, and initiatives
  • Drive strategic sourcing and cost saving activities for the Marketing & Advertising category
  • Deliver successful end to end tender processes within allotted timeframes
  • Manage supplier negotiations and conduct supply market intelligence studies
  • Lead contract performance and strategic relationship management activities to deliver safe, effective, and efficient outcomes for the group
  • Complete risk assessments of the contract management process
  • Monitor compliance and implement continuous improvement on procurement processes, policies, and procedures
  • Provide advice for matters relating to procurement processes and contracts
  • Identify and monitor spend targets and propose improvement measures
  • Drive the achievement of procurement KPI’s
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience within a Category Manager/Procurement Manager/Senior Specialist role conducting pre-and post-award procurement activities
  • Extensive experience procuring marketing focused goods and services or other general indirect categories is essential
  • Previous experience with the retail industry is highly desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a developing environment
  • Passionate about delivering successful outcomes for stakeholders
Applicants with tertiary education and further training in the procurement industry such as MCIPS will be held in high regard, but previous demonstrable experience is the priority.
