About the role
We are searching for a Payroll Leader to join this supportive and friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join an experienced and growing business and have an immediate impact on a values led team environment. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Leading Payroll team to successful deliver fortnightly and monthly pays.
- Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.
- Direct the preparation of payroll related documents.
- Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
- Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
- Monitor the accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations.
- Prepare and review payroll account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate account balances.
- Review and improve payroll policies and procedures.
This position is well suited to a Payroll professional who prides themselves on their ability to deliver results. The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a senior payroll processing role, people management experience would be highly beneficial.
- Good knowledge of Payroll regulations including superannuation & PRT.
- Proven experience working in large organisations with national payroll environments
- Management of leave reconciliations including long service leave
- Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management
