About the Appointment

A newly created position reporting into the CEO. This is an opportunistic appointment as the organisation looks to capitalise on new commercial ventures to scale revenue for greater sustainability and longevity, ensuring continued support for rural communities for years to come.

The General Manager Corporate Services is responsible for the planning, managing and delivery of all finance activities in addition to overseeing IT, HR, administration and grants. This role will require you to be hands on whilst playing a pivotal role supporting strategic decisions. Your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Lead the production and delivery of budgeting, forecasting and reporting to the SLT and Board.
  • Partnering with the SLT to develop key financial strategies, investments and growth models
  • Manage treasury function
  • Oversee transactional accounting and payroll
  • Lead and maintain a strong team culture, taking advantage of opportunities to provide mentorship and development.
  • Lead the following functions:
    • Finance
    • IT managed services and cybersecurity
    • HR/WHS
    • Administration
    • Grant management
About You

As the preferred candidate, you can showcase a proven history in financial management, budgeting, business partnering and strategic acumen. An aligned leadership style is one that mirrors the values of Rural Aid: empower, collaborate, transparent, empathic, adaptable and ambitious. It is mandatory to be CA or CPA Qualified and have a minimum of five years in a senior finance position. Exposure to managing non-financial teams, particularly IT, HR and/or administration is seen as highly desirable. You will be an effective communicator, having the ability to develop valued relationships, influence and to build trust and credibility with both internal and external stakeholders.
