Troocoo Government are currently working with an established State Government Department on the recruitment of an A04 Communications Advisor. This position will be based in Carseldine, and is an initial contract to the 28th of June 2024. This opportunity will pay between $55.34 and $60.85 per hour + super, depending on experience.

The Role
The A04 Communications Advisor is required (however not limited) to:
  • Draft, edit and publish communication products for a range of channels including the intranet, newsletters, websites and other media.
  • Create visual products including infographics, screensavers, website images, videos, posters and presentations.
  • Manage all aspects of the regular staff newsletter to set timeframes, including proactively sourcing and managing requests for content, drafting content, obtaining approvals, production and distribution, and managing staff feedback.
  • Oversee content on SharePoint sites as a lead Business Support Administrator (BSA), including administrative functions to ensure content remains current, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting capability development.
  • Assist with the delivery of events such as staff forums, town halls and other events including content development that may include speaking notes, presentations, invitations and post-event surveys.
Your Experience
To be successful within the role as an A04 Communications Advisor you would have the following:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, the Adobe suite, Vision 6, SharePoint, and other digital software.
  • Ability to, or acquire the ability, operate technical audio and visual equipment including printers and cameras.
  • A degree or qualifications in communication, graphic design or marketing would be highly regarded.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills, including proficient critical thinking and analysis skills.
  • Ability to prioritise projects and tasks efficiently, in line with team commitments and be able to work under pressure.
