The successful candidate will be responsible for the architecture, development, design, technical implementation and support of our clients technology environment. This includes the maintenance/design of key technology controls and working with 3rd party vendors to deliver a robust, structured, and stable technology environment. In alignment with the Technology Strategy and Roadmap, this includes researching new technologies to support current and future business needs.
Role Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
- Develop Solution Architectures/Solution Designs to meet business and cyber-security requirements, including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Process Control Networks (PCN)
- Develop, establish and maintain best practice technology standards, procedures, documentation and guidelines incorporating comprehensive responses to cybersecurity issues
- Develop, design and manage systems for the efficient management/monitoring of the technology environment, including SCADA and Process Control Networks (PCN)
- Understand the Technology strategy and roadmap and provide input as required
- Oversee the effective and efficient operation of all technology systems, including liaising with external vendors to resolve issues as required
- Manage the high-level configuration of systems and equipment as required to support the business
- Provide direct support of communications systems across the business and provide input and / or recommendations to reduce costs or enhance the service
- Provide Level 3 support to both the internal helpdesk and outsourcing partners
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a services/help desk or internal ICT team
- Completion of a Bachelor degree in an IT discipline
- Experience in the design and development of technology systems
- Knowledge and experience with:
- Microsoft Operating Systems
- ERP systems
- Cloud architecture
- SCADA and Process Control Networks (PCN)
- Database management
- Communications infrastructure, including Cisco equipment
- Wide area network design and support
- Virtual Server environments
- Communications systems, including unified collaboration integration
- Linux at a basic level
