My Client is a global leader in aerospace and defence services that has a solid pipe line of work at an uncertain time in the employment market.

An employer of choice and recognized brand with over 100,000 staff our client is looking for their next team leader or technical expert within the airframe equipment and integration engineering department.

The opportunity
Working as the leader of a team of engineers that is focused on successfully delivery equipment and integration support to capability projects.

Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible to ensure the delivery of all related products and services are delivered in full on time and on budget in a continuous improvement environment. This will include:
  • Undertaking Technical Information Reviews
  • Developing, reviewing, approving and designing Design Engineering tasks within your scope including giving advice on repairs and modifications
  • Developing and approving engineering advice and instructions for continued airworthiness
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant Quality and Engineering plans, processes and procedures
  • Successful leadership of the team including involvement in recruitment, performance monitoring and encouraging a positive team culture
  • Escalation of issues preventing achievement of milestones and coordinating requirements between company functions and with vendors or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
  • Coaching and mentoring of emerging talent within the business
The successful applicant
You will have a solid understanding and track record of DIFOT, whilst being a team player with exceptional stakeholder ability coupled with good verbal and written skills.
To be successful in this position you will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences including but not limited to:
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience working in the Aircraft Equipment and Integration domain
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Registered Professional Engineer (RPEng) status is desirable but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations in either a Defence or Civil environment, understanding standards and best practice
  • Ability to obtain security clearance working whit defence related projects
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to build and motivate an innovative, high performing team
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build long lasting relationships
  • A commitment to the processes that achieve safe, high quality customer satisfaction
