Warehouse & Distribution Manager

Troocoo are exclusively partnered with a growing food company that delivers top-quality fresh produce supply solutions, ensuring a premium customer experience across diverse market sectors.

As the organisation continues to grow, we are recruiting a Warehouse & Distribution Manager on a full-time, permanent basis, located in Rocklea, 5 days per week. Please note, the start time for this role is 3am. 

The Position

Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, the Warehouse & Distribution Manager leads end-to-end foodservice operations, including warehousing, distribution, logistics, and client delivery, ensuring the seamless movement of perishable goods from suppliers to warehouses and to customers.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute the site’s operational strategy, linking daily performance to budget, profitability, and service outcomes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop site supervisors and team leaders across all shifts.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in cost per drop, DIFOT, and waste reduction.
  • Oversee all inbound, storage, and outbound activities with a focus on cold chain compliance and product quality.
  • Implement Lean practices, automation, and digital tracking to optimise efficiency.
  • Govern logistics scheduling, route optimisation, and load planning for foodservice deliveries.
  • Lead stock management activities with a focus on improving forecasting accuracy, cycle count performance, and stock allocation.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture driven by accountability, ownership, and teamwork.
  • Ensure full audit compliance across HACCP, WHS, and environmental standards.
  • Deliver monthly site performance reports.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in operations, warehouse or logistics leadership positions.
  • Experience in the food industry or experience managing food products is essential.
  • Strong understanding of warehousing, logistics, and customer delivery models.
  • Experience in managing budgets, P&L awareness, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and analytical skills.
