Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre Manager - Ipswich

Job description

Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre Manager
Ipswich

Troocoo are proud to partner with RSL Queensland to recruit a Centre Manager for the Ipswich Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre.
This role is responsible for the holistic day-to-day management of the centre, leading frontline service delivery and ensuring veterans and their families experience a coordinated, welcoming and high-quality service environment. The Ipswich centre is entering a new phase with planned renovations, making this an exciting time to step into the role.

About the role
As Centre Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the centre while working alongside multiple internal and external service providers. While not all services within the centre report directly to this role, you will be responsible for ensuring services operate cohesively and clients experience seamless support.
This role is hands-on and requires a leader who is comfortable being present, supporting frontline teams and leading by example.

Key elements of the role include
• Managing daily centre operations and service coordination
• Leading frontline service delivery and modelling client-centred care
• Coordinating referrals and support requests across multiple teams
• Ensuring facilities, WHS, compliance and risk processes are embedded
• Building strong relationships with community, government and service partners
• Supporting organisations onboarding into the centre and ensuring consistent centre use
• Preparing and implementing local operational plans aligned to Veteran Services strategy
• Monitoring metrics, preparing reports and contributing to continuous improvement
• Leading and developing a team of approximately five to six direct reports
• Supporting the centre through operational change

About you
This role suits an operational leader who enjoys being close to service delivery and working with people.

You will bring
• Experience managing a centre, facility or service delivery environment
• A strong understanding of community or human services and client impact
• The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
• A calm, practical and people-focused leadership style
• Confidence working in environments supporting vulnerable cohorts
Experience in defence or veteran services is valued but not essential. Transferable skills from NGO, community services or health environments are highly relevant.

How to apply
If you are motivated by purpose-led work and want to play a meaningful role supporting veterans and their families, we would love to hear from you.
Please apply via Seek with your resume. Applications will be reviewed as they are received.
