Technical Support Specialist (Appian ERP)

Job description

I am partnering with a Queensland Government Agency seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to coordinate ERP-related support activities within the agency.

This role is focused on the effective management, analysis and progression of Appian ERP support requests, working closely with internal technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.

Please note, this position is based in the Brisbane CBD and requires five days per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse, prioritise and manage incoming support requests for the Appian ERP system
  • Act as the first point of contact for ERP-related incidents and service requests
  • Coordinate with Appian support teams and internal developers to resolve issues
  • Log, track and manage tickets using Jira, ensuring clear documentation and updates
  • Escalate complex or critical issues in line with agreed service levels
  • Produce reports on support trends, recurring issues and resolution performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve ERP support processes and documentation
Skills and Experience
  • Strong understanding of Appian ERP functionality, workflows and integrations
  • Demonstrated experience in a technical support role within an ERP environment
  • Working knowledge of Jira and ticket lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and structured support environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent experience
Desirable:
  • Exposure to Appian low-code development tools
  • Experience with APIs, web services or database technologies
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery environments
The initial duration of this contract is through until 30th June 2026, however multi-year extensions are on offer for the successful candidate.
