In this role, you will manage a portfolio of technical motor claims, assisting customers throughout the process and ensuring a high level of customer service. You will handle a range of complex cases, occasionally needing to manage difficult conversations, such as claim declines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of claims, guiding customers through each stage of the process
- Handling customer inquiries (both in-bound and out-bound)
- Assess claims and resolve complex issues
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with the broader team
- Proven background in customer service within a call centre or insurance environment
- Previous experience in insurance claims (motor insurance highly regarded) particularly in complex or technical claims investigations, or dispute resolution
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate detailed policy wording and legislative requirements to customers
- Confident in managing sensitive or high-stakes conversations with empathy, clarity, and professionalism
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex information and provide clear guidance
- High level of resilience and emotional intelligence when working with challenging or distressed customers
- Comfortable using multiple systems and navigating between tools to find and deliver accurate information
