Our client is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Accountant to help lead their Business Services division and cater to the diverse needs of their client base.
The role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the firm's success by:
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, exceeding client expectations
- Reporting directly to the Partner and completing assignments as specified
- Collaborating with clients, contributing to our team's effectiveness
- Staying up-to-date with technical issues through continuous research
- Consulting with clients and performing hands-on work
- Preparing various types of Income Tax Returns
- Preparing Financial Statements
- Conducting audits for Small Entities and Not-for-Profits
- Handling Business Services tasks
- Managing Corporate Compliance work
- Overseeing complex Corporate Groups
- Visiting clients at their locations
- Providing mentorship and supervision to team members
- Reviewing and completing preparatory work conducted by Support Staff
- Managing and maintaining the firm's computer network
- Proficiency in MYOB AE, Reckon, Xero, Class, and other MYOB Online Accounting software products is essential.
The role holder must be able to satisfy the following criteria:
- Must be a registered tax agent
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Must be a Registered Tax Agent
- Sound knowledge of Australian Tax Laws
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
A package of $100,000 - $145,000 is on offer. In addition the firm offers a comfortable location with off-street secure parking, fresh, modern offices with private workspaces, a multicultural and supportive team environment.
