System Integration (SI) Delivery Director

  • Initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extensions
  • Minimum NV1 security clearance required
About the Role
A System Integration (SI) Delivery Director position has been created in response to our Federal Government client transitioning the System Integration function from a key external delivery partner. You will report into the Solution Delivery Director and be accountable for leading the System Integration function in the Agency.

This is a key position, requiring a person who is proactive, driven and purposeful, with strong leadership qualities. The role will have the opportunity to influence the direction of digital health in Australia and make a difference to the lives of Australian citizens, though the creation of leading technology solutions.
  
Key roles and responsibilities
  • Establish and lead a team of high performing technical specialists to create a world class System Integration function within the Agency.
  • Lead the development of technical strategy, strategic plans and implementation management to maintain, enhance systems, applications and cloud environments.
  • Lead in the end-to-end technical delivery capability from requirements, functional definition, systems design, development, system integration, testing and management of interdependencies through to operational implementation and handover.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders in the Agency (business teams, architecture, security, IT, operations, contract, procurement, legal) and external partners across a wide spectrums of levels.
  • Develop and align business strategy with solutions strategy, planning and delivery across multiple functions in a high-paced matrixed organisation by fostering a collaborative approach.
  • Develop solutions strategies with vendors, contracts and linked to commercial strategy.

To be Successful

The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience leading a technical team
  • Minimum of 10 years senior experience in technology related leadership role
  • Degree in IT, Engineering or related field is desirable
  • Experience in standard development, delivery and operational processes like SDLC, COBIT, ISO9001, ITSM, SIAM or similar
