The Position
  
This is a unique opportunity to step into a critical end-to-end senior procurement role that combines commercial influence, governance leadership, and impact on ESG outcomes. As Strategic Sourcing Manager, you’ll partner with executives and key stakeholders to shape sourcing strategies, drive value and efficiency, and embed best practice procurement across a complex, high-profile organisation within the finance sector. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop key strategic sourcing pipelines and category plans.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for indirect spend.
  • Identify and deliver cost reduction, value creation, ESG outcomes, and spend efficiencies.
  • Lead ESG initiatives, including supplier diversity, Modern Slavery compliance, sustainability targets, and the Reconciliation Action Plan.
  • Identify and implement improvements to procurement tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain governance and risk frameworks that drive procurement automation and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including suppliers and executive leadership.
  • Provide risk and audit reporting in alignment with the Risk Management Framework.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven success in a strategic procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing categories of spend, delivering cost reduction, and supplier rationalisation strategies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical capability.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
