About the role 

Troocoo has partnered with this tech-driven insurance provider, that is undergoing major (positive) transformation of their technology stack, encompassing a cloud based infrastructure. Value to customers is at the forefront of decision making and is the driver behind innovation and growth. 

Reporting into the Head of Architecture and with the support of Senior team members, this Solution Architect will delve into the complexities of the core system and skillfully craft architectural and technical designs for both business and IT solutions, optimising Cloud operations, and creating architectural patterns to standardise solutions, making them more efficient. 

You will thrive in this role with flexible thinking, experience in security architecture, and the ability to lead key stakeholder workshops.

Key responsibilities of the Solution Architect:

• Help translate business requirements into designs to achieve the desired software engineering outcomes, proactively addressing real-world challenges during system upgrades, and prioritising critical initiatives.
• Support documenting current system architectures while envisioning future architectural states, which may involve developing reference architectures. 
• Help bring clarity to identity management and become the go to person for security architecture.  
• Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, QA, Security, IT Operations, Delivery, Analytics & Actuarial teams, and other essential stakeholders within the business. 
• Conducting workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather essential information. 

What the Solution Architect will need to be successful:

• Showcase more than 5 years of experience in a solutions architecture role, with a large portion focused on security architecture. 
• Display prior experience tailoring solutions for cloud computing platforms like Azure and AWS, making the most of native cloud services. 
• Demonstrate prior hands-on involvement in software development, using contemporary languages like C#.NET and Python. 
• Possess experience handling security and compliance controls pertinent to data management in on-premises and cloud-based settings. 
• Prove your proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving. 
• Bring a track record of working in an Agile work environment. 
• Openness to novel technologies, characterised by flexible thinking and adaptability.
