A new 12 month contract opportunity is readily available for 2 x Software Developer to join our Brisbane CBD Client within the Application Development Team.

These positions will be critical to contributing to a diverse, inclusive and collaborative environment, where you will be responsible for the development, enhancement, maintenance and support of enterprise application systems within a disciplined software development environment.

The position requires strong technical capability, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work effectively across teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

The Key Responsibilities and accountabilities of this role will include:

• Analyse requests for change and actively triage and resolve software incidents.
• Develop, enhance and maintain application software within a complex enterprise environment.
• Collaborate effectively with application development colleagues, business support teams, and external suppliers or vendors.
• Investigate, analyse and report on application software-related issues to management.
• Undertake project work as required, providing technical leadership or subject matter expertise to achieve successful outcomes.
• Adhere to organisational policies, procedures and values.
• Undertake all required training and professional development relevant to the role.

Key Capability Requirements Essential for this role will require for the following:

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and contemporary development practices within a structured delivery environment.
• Demonstrated experience in business application development using C, C# .Net, SQL, and several of the following technologies:
  
  • C
  • WPF
  • .Net suite of technologies
  • Unix/Linux

Preferred Exposure to, or experience with, the following technologies would be highly regarded:

• Postgres
• XML
• Web Services
• Angular
• AWS
