We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Brisbane CBD Based Clients collaborative and inclusive team environment.

You'll play a key role in developing, maintaining, and supporting complex business applications within a disciplined software development framework.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of Technologies, contribute to innovative solutions, and collaborate with ICT Professionals, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities of the Software Developer will include:
  • Analyse requests for change and triage/resolve software incidents.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain application software in a complex environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with ICT staff, business support staff, and external suppliers/vendors.
  • Investigate and report on application software issues.
  • Lead or contribute technical expertise to projects, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and standards, including those relating to safety and information security.
  • Safeguard information assets and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Undertake training and development relevant to the role.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Essential Skills & Technical Experience:
  • Ability to prioritise and lead projects or tasks efficiently, with flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical, creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service focus and proven teamwork ability.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and contemporary practices.
  • Business application software development experience in one or more of the following:
    • C
    • WPF
    • .Net suite of technologies
    • SQL
    • Unix/Linux
    • AWS
Desirable Skills:
  • Exposure to API technologies.
  • Linux/Unix Shell expertise.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
