Troocoo Government are currently aiding in the recruitment of a Senior Project Manger to join the team within an established QLD State Government Department. The Senior Project Manger will lead a large Digital Transformation project on an initial 2-year contract engagement. This opportunity is based within Brisbane's CBD and is open to hourly market rates.

The Role
The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the Project Executive and will be required (however not limited) to:
- Produce and maintain high quality project artefacts and take full responsibility for the project documentation, schedule, finance management, change control, change management (including communication & training and risk & issue management processes).
- Lead significant procurement plan process based on Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA) policy, standards and guidelines.
- Manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholder expectations, communications, briefings and requirements.
- Scope, plan and co-ordinate the delivery of project work packages with key business stakeholders, ICT suppliers and service partners.
- Manage project finances and work package estimates, budgets, invoicing and resources.
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed contract performance metrics.
- Provide upstream periodic project reporting and briefings to a variety of forums.
To be successful as the Senior Project Manager you would have the following demonstrated experience:
- 7 years’ minimum experience in a project management role managing similar sized ICT projects (Category 3) and the related work packages and activities.
- Demonstrated experience leading a successful open/closed market procurement strategy, with a particular focus on delivery risk mitigation, and skills and capability management.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule projects using appropriate tools and monitor projects.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and manage project risks and issues and establish and maintain project registers.
- Demonstrated proven track record in digital transformation projects from legacy systems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop project artefacts including business cases, benefits realisation plans, project and stage plans, change management plans, and project status reports and communication documents.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, manage and motivate a project team.
- Proven ability to gather information and advice for business and systems analysis, and design so that the systems meet business requirements.
- Well-developed change management skills, with the ability to manage the change process.
- Previous experience working in Government agencies on similar sized projects.
- Prince2® Project Management training or equivalent experience in a project environment.
- Qualifications or experience in Agile Methodologies.
- Experience in ICT Infrastructure Management with the working knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
- Experience in ICT solution design, system administration and support in similar Government agency environments.
- Experience with MS CRM Dynamics.
