Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to deliver high-quality legal support across a diverse portfolio, including contracts, construction, compliance, governance, and dispute resolution.
Working closely with the Head of Legal and Company Secretary, you will provide trusted advice to senior leaders and teams across the organisation. This hands-on role includes drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, guiding regulatory compliance, managing disputes, and contributing to strong corporate governance practices.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver timely, practical legal advice to support operational and strategic objectives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including construction and property contracts, retail lease agreements, agreements for lease, and ancillary documents.
• Support the full lifecycle of major projects - from tender through delivery and dispute resolution.
• Prepare board and executive papers, contributing to governance frameworks and policy development.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify legal risks and provide proactive, solutions-focused guidance.
• Oversee litigation and arbitration processes, including engagement with external legal counsel.
• Monitor legal expenditure and assist with budgeting and cost management.
About You
• At least 5 years’ post-admission experience in a legal counsel or advisory role.
• Strong technical expertise in construction, property and commercial law.
• Experience working within complex or highly regulated industries.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to deliver pragmatic, outcome-focused advice.
