Senior HR Generalist

Troocoo are assisting a leading QLD State Government client recruit a Senior HR Generalist on a temporary contract. This is an exciting long term contract opportunity until February 2025, with potential extension!

Your new role:
  • Provide an internal HR consultancy service including employee relations, interpreting and applying public sector legislation, directives, policies, procedures, and agreements to manage complex and sensitive employee matters.  
  • Undertake workforce and succession planning, assisting leaders and managers to understand their current and future workforce needs and plan accordingly.
  • Undertake research and analysis to develop advice, policy, procedure and strategic documents relating to complex employment matters
  • Maintain knowledge of contemporary HR practices, seeking opportunities for improvements to business process in line with strategic and business direction, with consideration of potential risks and legislative requirements.
Required experience:
  • Previous HR experience and an understanding of relevant, HR practices and policies
  • Previous HR experience within a Government department will be highly regarded
  • Previous payroll experience – Aurion experience is highly regarded
  • Qualifications within HR/ER would be well regarded
  • Previous policy and regulatory legislation experience and ability to work with tight deadlines                                                          
As part of the process, you must be able to pass a criminal history check (previous completed CHCs are regarded)
