About the Role:
As the Senior Finance Officer, you will play a key role in managing trust account processes, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting internal stakeholders with training and reporting. This position is ideal for a finance professional with a background in professional services environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily trust account transactions, including receipts and payments
- Reconcile trust and controlled money accounts within the practice management system
- Maintain accurate trust records in line with statutory regulations and firm policies
- Prepare trust account reporting, coordinate audits, and handle relevant lodgements
- Provide training and guidance on trust processes and accounting systems to staff
- Previous dedicated experience in a finance or trust accounting role, ideally within the property, legal or accounting firm
- High attention to detail with proven experience processing high-volume transactions
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and finance systems
