About The Role

In this pivotal position, you will manage workers compensation claims end-to-end while driving early intervention strategies and safe return-to-work planning. Your ability to work empathetically and strategically will ensure injured team members are supported through a recovery-focused approach, aligned with legislative compliance and best practice case management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of workers compensation claims, from incident notification to resolution and return to work planning.
  • Develop and implement safe and durable return-to-work strategies, liaising with internal stakeholders, insurers, and medical professionals.
  • Lead case management with a focus on early intervention and injury recovery outcomes.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on workers compensation processes, risk mitigation and legal compliance.
  • Maintain robust documentation, conduct investigations, and support continuous improvement initiatives across injury management programs.
  • Deliver training and support to leaders on rehabilitation processes and injury prevention strategies.
  • Oversee workers compensation wage payments, reporting, and contribute to premium management and data tracking.
About You:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Return to Work or Injury Management role.
  • Accreditation in Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordination is desirable.
  • Deep understanding of workers compensation legislation, rehabilitation processes, and common law claims management.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical and case management capability, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
