Troocoo is proudly partnering with a purpose-driven organisation to recruit several Residential Home Placement Officers to join a busy and compassionate team supporting elderly Queenslanders through the transition into aged care.
Contract Details:
- Initial 3 month temporary role commencing as soon as possible
- Potential to extend
- Full support and training provided
- Parking onsite
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Interviews commencing as soon as possible
- Support aged care residents and their families through the aged care placement journey
- Act as first point of contact via phone and email for families, residents, hospitals and social workers
- Interview prospective residents and collect detailed financial and personal information
- Use government systems to assess eligibility, fees, room costs and funding options
- Guide families through concessional and non-concessional requirements
- Provide compassionate support through emotional and sometimes difficult conversations
- Manage applications, offers and admission paperwork across multiple sites
- Balance high volume enquiries with detailed administration (processes can take 3 days to 5 weeks)
- Work closely with a collaborative team across three locations
About You:
- Strong administration skills with confidence using multiple systems
- Background in finance, case management or assessment based roles, ideally managing client journeys over the phone
- Comfortable conducting structured phone interviews and guiding people through eligibility, applications or financial processes
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Experience in customer focused roles with complex or sensitive conversations
- Comfortable asking financial and personal questions with empathy and professionalism
- Calm, resilient approach when situations become challenging
- Genuine interest in supporting older people and their families
- Confidence following conversation scripts while knowing when to adapt
- High attention to detail with a strong learning mindset (older systems)
- Ability to work office based full time (Tuesday and Wednesday onsite required)
