Regional Manager Veteran Services League Development

Job description

Regional Manager Veteran Services League Development - Toowoomba

Troocoo is pleased to be partnering with RSL Queensland to recruit a newly created Regional Manager role within their Veteran Services League Development team. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced generalist to support Districts and Sub Branches across the region, strengthening capability, governance and sustainability while delivering meaningful outcomes for veterans and their families. Ideally based in Toowoomba or Ipswich.
This is a highly relational role suited to someone who enjoys working across complex stakeholder environments and making an impact through influence, trust and strong leadership presence.

About the role
Created in response to growth and an expanded regional footprint, this role provides dedicated leadership support to Districts and Sub Branches across the Toowoomba, Ipswich, and Gold Coast region. You will lead a geographically dispersed team and act as a key conduit between RSL Queensland and its District-based network.
The focus of the role is to embed best practice systems and processes, support governance and compliance standards, and work collaboratively with Districts and Sub Branches to build capability, sustainability and consistency. You will also play a key role in stakeholder engagement, membership planning and the delivery of League Development priorities aligned to RSL Queensland’s broader strategy.

What you will be responsible for
  • Partnering with Districts and Sub Branches to strengthen capability, governance and long-term sustainability
    • Leading and supporting a regional team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes
    • Acting as a trusted advisor and connector between RSL Queensland, District leaders, volunteers and community stakeholders
About you
You are a confident and credible people leader with broad operational experience and the ability to navigate complex, volunteer-led or federated environments. You bring strong influencing skills, sound judgement and resilience to operate in settings where leadership occurs through influence rather than authority.
Experience in community services, sport administration, membership-based organisations or other federated models will be highly regarded, as will financial acumen and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders and volunteer leaders. Defence experience is well regarded but not essential. Attitude, resilience, and leadership presence are critical.
This role includes some evening and weekend work to support meetings and key events. Travel across the region is required but it is not a daily road-based role. Flexibility, emotional intelligence and strong professional boundaries are important for success.

How to apply
If you are an experienced leader who enjoys working at the intersection of people, governance and community impact, we would love to hear from you. Apply now or contact Troocoo for a confidential discussion.
