The Position
Troocoo has partnered with a resource organisation to recruit a Purchasing Lead for a 12-month contract based in Brisbane CBD, with site travel requirements and flexible working arrangements available.
Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Manager, the Purchasing Lead will manage a team of four direct reports spread across multiple sites. The primary focus of this position is to implement a new purchasing framework, engaging with and educating internal stakeholders while coordinating day-to-day purchasing operations.

Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Manager, the Purchasing Lead will manage a team of four direct reports spread across multiple sites. The primary focus of this position is to implement a new purchasing framework, engaging with and educating internal stakeholders while coordinating day-to-day purchasing operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, prioritise and coordinate purchasing activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Allocate purchasing requirements across the team.
- Monitor requisitions for materials and services to ensure they meet the contract requirements.
- Conduct supplier negotiations, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain and Logistics teams to establish seamless purchasing processes.
- Identify potential commercial risks and implement necessary risk mitigation strategies.
- Issue and administer purchase orders and expedite outstanding orders.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a purchasing leadership role.
- Excellent knowledge of the procure-to-pay process.
- Previous experience rolling out new processes and frameworks is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills are essential.
- Must be available to start in early August 2025.
