Job description
Our client is an Australian market leading financial services organisation. With several key project initiatives to be delivered in 2022, they are seeking an experienced Project Specialist to join their established team on an initial 12-month FTC.
Overview of Position
The Project Specialist plays a key role within the Customer & Marketing business unit and operates as a specialist on portfolio change projects and business unit initiatives. This role is responsible for planning, executing and finalising project delivery according to timeframes, budget and compliance. The role works closely with key stakeholders within the business unit, across the wider organisation, and third-party suppliers to successfully deliver customer outcomes, within Group portfolio projects.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Project manage assigned initiatives from beginning to end to meet project objectives;
- Analyse stakeholder requirements to develop project workstream plans, briefs and associated documents that support the business and project goals;
- Consult, negotiate and manage expectations with a range of project and business stakeholders;
- Estimate the resources and identify participants needed to achieve project goals and ensure their efficient use to deliver projects;
- Proactively manage and communicate changes in projects, identify potential problems and devise contingency plans;
- Contribute as the member representative on group projects and business unit initiatives;
- Monitor project performance and prepare timely reports for management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the workflow of cross-functional teams in a project environment;
- Proven project management skills and previous experience in successfully delivering large projects (Project management experience in a marketing and communications environment is an advantage).
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks, principles, practices (including Agile) and tools;
- Ability to create effective partnerships and relationships with business, stakeholders and vendors;
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving skills;
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills including workshop facilitation;
- Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
