Project Manager (Cyber - Small Initiatives)
Job description
A new 6 month contract opportunity is readily available for a Junior Project Manager to join this well recognized Health and Community Service Provider based in Brisbane CBD (Hybrid working - 3 days office / 2 days WFH)
The position of Junior PM resides within Cyber Security Program and is responsible for the successful delivery of projects in support of the Organisations Queensland’s Cyber Security Strategy.
The Cyber Security Program includes the implementation of new cyber security tools; testing of existing security controls; uplift of policies and processes; and maturity assessment against industry best practice frameworks.
The responsibilities of the role include:
Key Attributes: Communication, Influence, Activation, Achiever, Discipline, Consistency, Hands-on and knows how to get activities completed and work alongside multiple teams
This role will see the successful candidate owning and running a number of smaller projects and will have a baseline understanding of what’s involved in delivering technical projects & is flexible to either run their own projects or support Senior Project Managers and Program Directors.

- Project management of multiple simultaneous smaller projects
- Supporting other Project Managers in the delivery of bigger projects
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Recruitment and management of project team members
- Engagement and management of vendors and suppliers
- Transition of solutions to IT operations
- 3 Years as an IT Project Manager, and exposure across cyber domains such as networking, active directory, vulnerability management
- Experience in managing technology projects within complex IT environments
- Project management skills across multiple simultaneous projects
- Proven project team & stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead / influence a diverse group of people
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and innovation
- Highly motivated, self-driven with a positive attitude.
