Project Manager - Cyber Security

A new 12 month contract opportunity is currently available for a Project Manager - Cyber Security Uplift Program.

This role is a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced PM to join this reputable Brisbane CBD Organisation, offering hybrid working and a fantastic team culture. 

The key focus of this position will see the Project Manager responsible leading the delivery of FY26 Portfolio projects for the organisation  in particular, the Cyber Maturity Uplift, in accordance with the EPMO Framework, and reporting into the governance committees established.

Further to this, the Project Manager will be responsible for the following deliverables as below:
  • Responsible for organising, directing, controlling, and coordinating business/strategic and / or ICT projects as assigned within the Portfolio
  • Develop and manage the schedule, risks, benefits, scope, resources and finances of the project/s
  • Coordinate and lead resources assigned to the projects, including facilitating working groups, project boards and governance forums
  • Establish and develop meaningful working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Monitor project outcomes and ensure project objectives continue to meet strategic actions
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and updates into the project governance and the EPMO
  • Maintain project documentation and quality assurance across project deliverables
  • Implement risk control measures and report new and emerging workplace hazards, risks and incidents that have caused, or are likely to result in injury, harm, and damage.
  • Actively participate in workplace consultations, incident investigations, rehabilitation and return to work processes, and subsequent corrective and preventative actions.
  • Comply with and uphold all information security standards, controls, and practices applicable to the role.
To be considered for this role, we are seeking the following demonstrated key areas of professional skillset and personable attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience with working in IT or Cyber security and implementing Essential 8 requirements.
  • Experience in the delivery of both business / strategic and IT projects and programs of work, including Cyber Security / Maturity Uplift Projects
  • Advanced experience using MS Project, MS Visio, Office 365, MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and relationship / stakeholder management
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Certification or Qualifications in Prince2, PMBOK, or Managing Successful Programs or
  • Cert IV / Diploma in Project Management
  • P3 (Portfolio, Program, Project) Qualifications
