Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of its landmark Health and Technology Research and Innovation Centre – a state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast.

About the Role:
Reporting into the university’s Property & Facilities team and working closely with academic and commercial stakeholders, you will lead end-to-end project delivery – from design development through to construction and commissioning. This includes managing consultants and contractors, overseeing governance and procurement processes, and ensuring project delivery aligns with the University's strategic objectives and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
You are a seasoned construction Project Manager with a strong track record delivering complex capital works – ideally in the education, health, or research sectors. You bring a collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to translate ambitious ideas into reality. Experience in laboratory or high-specification research facility delivery is highly desirable.

- Lead the design, procurement, construction and delivery of the building
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including research institutes, government, and precinct partners
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and budgets
- Oversee planning, tendering and contract administration in line with University protocols
- Ensure safety, compliance and sustainability standards are met throughout delivery
You are a seasoned construction Project Manager with a strong track record delivering complex capital works – ideally in the education, health, or research sectors. Experience in laboratory or high-specification research facility delivery is highly desirable.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, construction, engineering or architecture
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in delivering major capital projects
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and project governance expertise
- Knowledge of PC2 labs, clean room standards and research facility requirements (desirable)
- Familiarity with public-sector or university procurement processes (advantageous)
