Troocoo are currently assisting an established State Government client in the recruitment of an experienced Project Manager! This opportunity is a full-time agency contract, initially to the 30th Dec 2024 with potential to extend. The role will be based out of their CBD office and will look to pay $800-$900 per day + super (depending on experience).

Please note that this is not an IT Project Management position.

The Role
The department requires a Project Manager to manage the workforce stream that will include the recruitment and onboarding of new staff, reallocation of funding and resources and system and accommodation changes to support the change. 

As the Project Manager, you will be required (however not limited) to:
  • Plan, develop and execute projects including managing project scope, timelines, budget, quality, and resources across business improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare key project documentation and artefacts (e.g. project plan, requirements documents).
  • Effectively manage project risks, issues and dependencies and effectively communicate these to the Program Manager and senior stakeholders.
  • Manage integration across dependant projects and specialised workstreams.
  • Ensure appropriate project controls are in place to complete monthly reports on project progress, including the identification of impacts and escalation of decisions.
  • Develop clear stakeholder management and engagement plans that ensures information sharing throughout project delivery.
  • Build strong and effective working relationships with business representatives and key stakeholders.
  • Drive operational and business readiness for change.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, the Project Manager must have:
  • A strong ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • A high level of accountability and flexibility.
  • Experience working in a project team made up of contractors and public servants.
  • Previous Government experience would be highly desirable.
