Project Coordinator

The role:
Our client is looking for an experienced project coordinator to join a new dynamic PMO team within their business. You will work closely with the programme manager to roll out a complex multisite construction programme of work across Tasmania.
Once the sites have been identified and approved you will work with your peers across the business to deliver the build phase following a structured project management approach.
You will play a key role in sourcing, allocation and management of subcontractors ensuring project deadlines are met. In addition to this you will work closely with the procurement team to ensure all materials and equipment arrive on time and in budget.
This project is running to tight deadlines and as such will involve working in a time sensitive and at times pressurised environment.
The successful candidate:
The successful candidate for this role will be flexible, and great at multi-tasking. They’ll have amazing stakeholder management skills across all audiences and love a fast-paced environment. Experience working in construction, capital works or a similar related field is a must, as is hands on project coordination or project management experience.

What’s on offer?
A permanent full-time role, salary range is $80,000 - $100,000 plus super and car allowance.
Due to the nature of this role, you will need to travel throughout Tasmania. As such a valid Australian driver’s license and access to a vehicle will be required. To compensate a car allowance will be part of this package.
This role can be based out of Hobart or Launceston.

- Minimum three years of project coordination and/or project management experience
- Experience working in construction, capital works or a related environment is a must
- Proven experience working within a complex project management environment working toward tight deadlines
- Strong IT skills across MS office suite and MS project
- Exceptional stakeholder skills, this role has high visibility within the organisation at a local and national level.
- Contractor sourcing, allocation and management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Valid Australian driver license and access to a vehicle
- A passion for the environment and sustainability
