The Position.
The Production Line Manager will oversee and lead the ambulance production line's efficient operation, workflow, documentation, and output quality. This includes planning, scheduling, supervising staff, and ensuring all vehicles are delivered to specification, on time, and in compliance with ISO9001 and internal QMS requirements.

The Position.
The Production Line Manager will oversee and lead the ambulance production line's efficient operation, workflow, documentation, and output quality. This includes planning, scheduling, supervising staff, and ensuring all vehicles are delivered to specification, on time, and in compliance with ISO9001 and internal QMS requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the ambulance production line to meet company KPIs.
- Manage a small team of technicians, assistants, and apprentices assigned to ambulance builds.
- Drive a positive team culture that fosters respect, accountability, and productivity.
- Develop and maintain documentation for work instructions, build processes, and QMS compliance.
- Champion continuous improvement of procedures, installation consistency, and build quality.
- Monitor and report on progress, flagging delays or issues to the Production Manager in advance.
- Lead by example in safety, professionalism, punctuality, and presentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to OHS policies, ISO9001 standards, vehicle manufacturer proscribed guidance, relevant AS/NZ Standards and internal policies.
Skills & Experience.
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing / Production Manager position.
- Automotive industry experience preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience with QMS or ISO9001 systems.
- Proven experience in applying LEAN manufacturing principles to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce waste in a production environment.
- Excellent understanding of safety principles and behaviours.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Ability to effectively influence and engage at all levels.
