The Role

Troocoo is proud to partner with a leading mining company to recruit a Procurement Specialist who will drive the development and delivery of commercial strategies and end-to-end procurement outcomes across a diverse portfolio of capital works projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of procurement and contracts management for high-risk contracts across capital works projects.
• Lead and oversee the entire contract lifecycle, both pre- and post-award, from sourcing and negotiation through to administration and close-out.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies, tenders, and contract awards that align with corporate governance and probity standards.
• Providing a high level of stakeholder engagement with internal customers, and demonstrating superior relationship management and influencing skills with external parties.
• Run multiple procurement projects concurrently, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Provide expert advice on procurement models, commercial terms, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, systems (e.g. SAP and Ariba), and reporting requirements.

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in capital procurement or project-based procurement roles.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (in conjunction with relevant experience) in commercial, law, construction, engineering, or similar will be highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of contract law, commercial principles, and supplier negotiation techniques.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication.
• Background in mining, resources, infrastructure, or heavy industry is desirable.
