The Position
Our client is a household name and market leader in Australia. They are currently looking for a Procurement Excellence Specialist to join the Procurement Governance team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Excellence Specialist will drive continuous improvement and ongoing management of procurement strategies, systems, governance, frameworks, and reporting and lead ESG initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Excellence Specialist will drive continuous improvement and ongoing management of procurement strategies, systems, governance, frameworks, and reporting and lead ESG initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and improve tools, frameworks and templates for all procurement activities within the group.
- Lead the development of procurement systems by creating and implementing robust source-to-contract and contract management workflows.
- Establish governance frameworks for procurement documentation.
- Consult with relevant stakeholders to ensure that all tools, templates, processes and frameworks are fit for purpose.
- Identify inefficiencies in procurement workflows and implement solutions to optimise them.
- Create, align and execute annual plans for Modern Slavery in the supply chain.
- Track and report on the procurement function’s contribution to the company's ESG goals.
- Manage and facilitate the roll-out of new tools, templates and frameworks, including all necessary communications and change management activity.
- Support the development of additional procurement system requirements and necessary process changes to leverage systems for procurement activities.
- Develop and deliver training programs for procurement staff and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing improvement projects and initiatives within the procurement function.
- Previous experience and strong knowledge in pre- and post-award procurement activities.
- Strong project and change management skills.
- Proven ability to implement procurement systems and technology to improve operational efficiencies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative nature.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, legal or related disciplines are highly desirable.
