Troocoo are seeking an HRIS professional with knowledge of Aurion and a solid understanding of payroll in the public sector? We’re looking for a Principal Project Officer – HRIS Implementation to drive the delivery of Payroll as a Service across the organisation.

As a key member of the Human Resources team, you’ll be the bridge between HR, our internal project teams, and Aurion. You’ll play a hands-on role in:
You'll be part of a supportive HR team delivering recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, health, safety, wellbeing, and HR advisory services for approximately 360 staff. Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, your work will directly impact the success of our new payroll solution and help drive innovation in our HR systems.

What you’ll be doing:
As a key member of the Human Resources team, you’ll be the bridge between HR, our internal project teams, and Aurion. You’ll play a hands-on role in:
- Representing HR in project meetings and decision-making processes
- Coordinating system configuration, workflow design, and business process mapping
- Supporting data auditing and migration
- Leading user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Identifying operational impacts, risks, and benefits
- Rewriting procedures, adapting templates, and creating staff communications to support rollout
- Ensuring compliance with industrial instruments and legislative requirements
- Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in payroll operations – ideally in government or statutory authorities
- Strong understanding of Aurion HRIS system (configuration and administration)
- Proven experience with enterprise agreements, state wage case increases, and payroll compliance
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical change into practical outcomes
- A collaborative approach and a proactive mindset
