Principal Project Manager - Infrastructure

Job description

Two (2) Principal Project Managers are currently required to lead and manage the development and implementation of medium to large scale digital and information, communication and technology (ICT) project/s, specifically  infrastructure uplifts, by ensuring successful completion within agreed performance criteria that contribute to positive patient and business outcomes.

The successful applicants will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Organisation’s values:
  • Manage the delivery of medium to large scale infrastructure uplift project/s using approved standards, project product planning and management techniques in alignment with the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) best practice guidelines and tools as well as the organisation's project management methodologies.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders from broad backgrounds within the wider organisation.
  • Lead the delivery of digital projects ensuring financial, governance, assurance, benefits management, lessons learned, risk and issue management, change management and performance management are applied throughout the digital project management lifecycle.
  • Lead, manage and monitor and report on project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules against baselines and agreed tolerances to ensure projects continue to be delivered against time, quality, cost, scope and realisation of benefits.
  • Lead, manage and deliver quality project governance and reporting that supports effective decision making and transparency for project boards and higher executive governance groups.
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of digital projects ensuring resources, expenses, budget costs and forecasts throughout the project delivery lifecycle are maintained ensuring desired outcomes are achieved and robust solutions are delivered that meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders facilitating effective communication channels to ensure the successful delivery of projects including feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
  • Lead the management of digital project risks and issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers, to support the successful delivery of projects and escalation of concerns to the Delivery Stream Lead.
  • Support the implementation of continuous process improvement activities.
  • Manage any other duties as directed by the Delivery Stream Lead or Director
