Troocoo Government are currently on the search for a driven PO3 Civil Engineer (Traffic) to join a key State Government client! This position will be based out of their office in Nerang, QLD and is looking to commence ASAP for an initial 2-year contract (potential to extend). This role will sit at the P03 level and will pay $65.79 to $71.85 per hour + super, dependent on experience.
The Role
As the PO3 Civil Engineer (Traffic), you will provide technical expertise on traffic engineering and road safety across specific sites, supporting the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of road projects to improve capacity, reduce congestion, and enhance safety.

The Role
As the PO3 Civil Engineer (Traffic), you will provide technical expertise on traffic engineering and road safety across specific sites, supporting the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of road projects to improve capacity, reduce congestion, and enhance safety.
The Responsibilities
The PO3 Civil Engineer (Traffic) will:
- Investigate, analyse and review traffic and road safety issues and solutions on the state-controlled network.
- Contribute to the Road Safety Minor Works program to ensure best value for money with road safety treatments within the region.
- Contribute to Road Safety Mass Actions Plans, Safer Roads Sooner and Black Spot Program project proposals.
- Provide specialist technical advice and assistance in traffic engineering and road safety to other officers; including traffic investigation, safety programs, static traffic control signage and line marking.
- Communicate, verbally and in writing to stakeholders, information or advice on traffic operations, including the preparation of technical reports, and replies to the public or to Ministerial correspondence.
- Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects.
To be successful within this position you must have the following:
- A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
- A current & valid "C" class driver's licence.
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
- Prior experience within traffic engineering, or exposure to the transport planning or road safety industry would be highly desirable.
