Troocoo are proud to partner with Sunwater in search of an experienced People Business Partner for a 12 month maternity leave contract within Sunwater’s high-performing People & Change team.  The role will predominantly support the Infrastructure Development & Delivery team who provide services across a project lifecycle, encompassing demand identification, project development, project management and project controls for delivery of significant bulk water infrastructure projects.

The opportunity
On a 12 month fixed term contract, you will partner with leaders to deliver end-to-end HR support across a dynamic water infrastructure landscape. You will play a key role in supporting leaders through the people challenges that accompany planning and delivery of infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as a trusted HR partner to senior leaders planning and managing projects across Queensland
  • Providing advice on HR legislation, policy, systems and best practice within a regulated environment
  • Supporting employee relations matters across both permanent and contractor workforces
  • Partnering with leaders to drive proactive performance and development conversations
  • Supporting cyclical HR activities including workforce planning, talent management and performance frameworks
  • Contributing to organisational design discussions aligned to project and operational needs
  • Providing timely and meaningful people metrics to support business decision-making
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and culture initiatives
  • Coaching and mentoring junior HR team members as required
About you
You are a confident and pragmatic HR Business Partner who thrives in fast-paced, project-based environments and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders.
You will bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR or HR Business Partner role
  • Demonstrated experience within the construction and infrastructure industry (highly desirable)
  • Strong employee relations capability
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
