Position Overview

Reporting to the People, Culture & Development Director, the People & Culture Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the People & Culture team to effectively execute the firms people strategy and day-to-day business operations. This role involves business partnering with allocated teams and leaders across the firm, providing HR advice and support, and overseeing key HR projects throughout the employee lifecycle.

This newly created position brings immense opportunity for the successful applicant to drive enhancements and key project implementations across the firms People & Culture function and wider business.

HopgoodGanim are dedicated to providing this role with the scope to drive initiatives and refreshed policy and procedural implementations, whilst also allowing the opportunity to operate as a true generalist leader and partner to the wider P&C team and key stakeholders across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business partnering with allocated teams, leaders, and Partners to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Serving as an escalation point for HR Advisors and Coordinators, providing guidance and advice on complex employee issues.
  • Providing HR advice and support to partners and employees of all levels, including policy guidance, interpretation, and resolution of employee relations matters.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing members of the People & Culture team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Leading and supporting key HR projects and initiatives across the organization.
  • Managing payroll processes and overseeing graduate and vacation clerk recruitment strategy and placement outcomes.
  • Supervising and managing talent acquisition processes from time to time and as necessary.
  • Conducting workforce planning to support the firm's strategic direction and managing HR reporting processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline, with relevant on-the-job experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations and resolving complex HR issues.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and policies affecting HR practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership experience and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to the development and execution of HR strategies.
