Troocoo is proud to partner with Containers Exchange Queensland (COEX) to appoint a People & Culture Business Partner during an exciting phase of growth, system maturity and organisational change.
COEX is a not-for-profit organisation appointed by the Queensland Government to manage and grow the Containers for Change scheme. With a bold vision that “no container goes to waste”, COEX is driving real environmental and community impact across the state.
This newly created role strengthens people leadership capability and enhances the employee experience across the organisation.
The Opportunity Reporting to the People & Culture Leader, you will operate as a trusted advisor to leaders and team members, delivering pragmatic, commercially sound HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle.
This is a hands-on, operationally focused Business Partner role suited to someone who enjoys being embedded in the business rather than sitting at arm’s length.

Key Responsibilities
- Coach and advise leaders on performance, development and employee relations matters
- Lead end-to-end recruitment including direct sourcing and agency engagement
- Guide proactive performance conversations and support grievance resolution
- Oversee onboarding, payroll changes, leave accuracy and employment lifecycle processes
- Drive system and process improvements (Employment Hero super user)
- Develop and refine position descriptions and support job evaluation
- Deliver people analytics, dashboards and actionable insights
- Support engagement surveys, inclusion initiatives and culture programs
- Ensure compliance including WGEA reporting
You are an experienced HR Business Partner or a Senior HR Advisor ready to step into a broader partnering remit.
You bring:
- Strong generalist HR capability across ER, coaching, performance and recruitment
- A pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach
- Confidence operating in a growing organisation without heavy bureaucracy
- Strong stakeholder management skills across senior leaders
- Resilience, collaboration and a genuine desire to build capability
