Troocoo are looking for a civil engineer to join a state government department on a long term project.

- Provide engineering input and technical advice on development control and third-party activities that may impact the road network program.
- Assess third-party applications seeking approval to conduct activities or install infrastructure within State Controlled Corridors.
- Monitor development control functions to ensure impacts on road transport infrastructure are assessed within legislative timeframes and appropriate approval conditions are established and monitored.
- Monitor and audit third-party works to ensure compliance with development approvals, access permits, and operational requirements of the road network.
- Prepare technical reports and provide clear written and verbal advice to stakeholders, including responses to public enquiries and Ministerial correspondence.
- Contribute to the assessment and technical design review of activities administered under the accompanying legislation
- Provide information and technical support for the investigation of complaints and requests for action relating to development assessments and third-party works.
- Manage, under supervision, projects or elements of projects, ensuring delivery of outcomes, value for money, and adherence to best practice.
- Ensure all quality management procedures are followed.
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will bring:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of road infrastructure, development control, and third-party works impacting transport networks.
- An understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines applicable to road infrastructure (or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports and provide clear advice to stakeholders.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within a team environment.
