Troocoo Government are currently on the search for a driven 2nd or 3rd year University student to join a key State Government client! This position will be based out of their Nerang Office and is looking to commence on the 30/06/2025 for an initial 12-months. This is an Undergraduate position and sits at the P01 level, paying $31.10 to $45.74 per hour + super.
Please note, to be considered you must be currently enrolled in a second or third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree accredited under the Washington Accord or double degree including Civil Engineering.

The Role
As the P01 Student Engineer, you would be required (however not limited) to:
- Assist with field inspections and condition assessments of road infrastructure damaged by natural disasters, supporting documentation requirements.
- Contribute to project documentation including scope definitions, cost tracking, drawings, and photographic records.
- Support technical analysis and restoration design for pavements, drainage, culverts, and slopes using Departmental standards.
- Assist in design reviews, procurement, contract administration, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Provide support across project controls, data entry, site inspections, and quality assurance to ensure compliance and delivery.
To be considered a competitive applicant for the this position, you must be:
- Currently enrolled in the second or third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree accredited under the Washington Accord or double degree including Civil Engineering.
- Willing and able to work in both office and field environments, including undertaking site visits.
- A current holder of a Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Interested in infrastructure resilience, disaster recovery, or civil project delivery.
