Operations Manager

The role
Own the day to day operations and lift performance across people, process and projects. You will work directly with the Director and partner with the Project Manager, Business Development Manager and Workshop Manager to deliver smooth projects, a safe productive workshop and happy clients. This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys balancing leadership, strategy and practical delivery.
  
Key Responsibilities
This role oversees the full operational rhythm of the business, ensuring projects move smoothly from planning through to delivery. You will manage the daily workflow across the workshop, fabrication and installation teams, maintaining quality, safety and efficiency at every stage.

You will lead a capable team across both the office and workshop, fostering accountability, engagement and high performance. Working closely with HR partners, you will guide recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning to ensure the right people are in the right roles.

Financial oversight will be a core focus, including monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis to drive profitability and informed decision making. You will also contribute to strategic growth planning and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the business.

Alongside the Project Manager and Business Development Manager, you will support seamless project execution, uphold client satisfaction and identify new opportunities to enhance service delivery.
 
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in a similar Operations leadership role 
  • Background in structural steel, fabrication or engineering (essential)
  • Strong commercial and financial management capability
  • Experience leading teams in a project based environment
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with project management or ERP systems such as Arrowflow
