About the role:
Due to growth in the Australian and New Zealand market, an exciting opportunity has now been created for a National Sales Manager based in Brisbane. As the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial activity and external promotion of the Pool System’s brand by leading its national sales initiatives. As the National Sales Manager, you will hold a highly integral and strategic position that will play a key role in driving new business and growing market share across Australia and NZ.

About the role:
Due to growth in the Australian and New Zealand market, an exciting opportunity has now been created for a National Sales Manager based in Brisbane. As the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial activity and external promotion of the Pool System’s brand by leading its national sales initiatives. As the National Sales Manager, you will hold a highly integral and strategic position that will play a key role in driving new business and growing market share across Australia and NZ.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for achieving budgeted revenues and margins and deliver sustainable growth by growing and strengthening Pool Systems distribution network across all industry customer segments (retailers, builders, service technicians).
- Operationalise and implement national strategic sales activities in alignment with Pool System’s overall strategic plan to meet agreed commercial and financial targets.
- Lead the sales team business development activities across all pool industry customer segments nationally. Ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to business development activities across all sales territories.
- Develop close working relationships and profitable partnerships with key national / distribution customers to grow Pool Systems business through these important sales channels.
- Work closely with National Support Manager, develop and maintain appropriate and competitive customer pricing positions across the entire product range.
- Implement and coordinate national customer marketing and promotional activities. Provide appropriate feedback on customer needs and maintain an awareness of market needs and product development opportunities.
- Keep abreast of information on industry trends, regulatory changes, competitor activity and best practice that may influence Pool Systems sales and marketing activities. Report back on the impact of those trends and provide recommendations on potential solutions.
- A minimum of 10+ years previous sales / BD and leadership experience in a similar role.
- You will be an influencer and an inspiring leader with the ability to drive a high performing geographically dispersed sales team.
- Strong account management/client focus experience - relationships are key to the success of this role and the ability to form valued partnerships with clients is key.
- Demonstrated success in strategy development, execution and delivering results underpinned by strong market research.
- Strong knowledge and skills in developing and implementing marketing strategies and sales techniques.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence business leaders, distributors, and customers, to achieve improved commercial outcomes including pricing, margins and rebates.
- Effective communication skills with a proactive approach to understanding value & economic drivers for the customer.
- Current drivers’ licence with the ability to travel on a regular basis.
