The Role
As a Tribunal Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of tribunal proceedings and registry services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a range of daily administrative tasks, prioritising effectively to maximise client service and meet strict timeframes
- Coordinating recording and transcription services for tribunal proceedings in an efficient and timely manner
- Providing high-quality support to clients and members of the public attending proceedings
- Delivering accurate information to registry staff and Tribunal Members in a professional and approachable manner
- Undertaking accurate data entry and file management using specialised systems, including drafting and issuing tribunal orders
- Preparing and updating documents using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Prioritising competing tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to ensure effective hearing support services
- Assisting with general administrative duties as required by Team Leaders and Managers
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a customer service AND administrative role within a government or legal environment
- Previous experience within a tribunal or court environment (highly desirable)
- A background or qualifications in Criminal Justice (highly regarded)
- The ability to work full-time, five days per week
- A current, valid driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadline
