About the Role
As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality, person-led mental health services within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll provide therapeutic interventions, wellbeing coaching, and crisis support for individuals, families, and groups, with a particular focus on First Nations practice. You’ll work closely with leadership to ensure culturally safe and informed care.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Conduct assessments, risk management, and develop personalised mental health plans
  • Provide evidence-based counselling and therapeutic interventions
  • Deliver wellbeing coaching, workshops, and support groups
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals
  • Educate clients and families about mental health supports and strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate client records in line with organisational and professional standards
What We’re Looking For
  • Identification as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person 
  • Registration with relevant professional body (AHPRA, ACA, PACFA)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in counselling, preferably in mental health
  • Strong understanding of mental health issues, treatment approaches, and community resources
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • High cultural competence and sensitivity
  • Current Class C driver licence, roadworthy vehicle, Blue Card, and National Workers Screening
