Troocoo have been engaged by this leading QLD Government agency to recruit a temporary Manager, Compliance and Assurance AO8. Located conveniently within the Brisbane CBD fringe, this is an exciting opportunity to step into a leading compliance and assurance role.

• Contract 03/10/24 – 30/03/25
• $91.93 p/hour + super – attractive hourly rate!
• Right next to Brisbane CBD (easily accessible by train or bus)

Your new role:

• Managing a team in delivering high quality compliance and assurance services and building capability teams around governance requirements.
• Leading the team in the application of project management frameworks, risk management process, legislative compliance and business continuity/crisis management process.
• Providing procurement direction and guidance to ensure compliance with the Queensland Procurement Policy processes and overseeing the records management function in accordance with the Public Records Act.
• Management, review and implementation of compliance and assurance related policies including but not limited to the Fraud and Corruption policy, Financial and Administrative Delegations Policy and Schedule, Procurement Policy and Risk Policy and procedures as well as managing delivery of the internal audit program.
• Providing high level advice to the Executive Director, Corporate Services regarding risk management, internal controls, records management, new or changed legislation and relevant compliance and assurance related matters.

Your experience:

• Extensive experience within corporate governance, risk and assurance essential
  • Project assurance, risk management and internal audit/controls
• Contracts management and procurement experience is essential
• Previous Government experience is highly regarded
• Previous leadership experience with a focus on uplifting capability within teams
• Ability to engage with complex stakeholders and provide sound advice and resolutions
