Troocoo are partnering with this leading Queensland Government department to appoint a Manager, Communications & Engagement (AO8)!
The Manager, Communications and Engagement contributes to the success of the organisation by managing and delivering engagement, education, marketing and communications opportunities.
This is a permanent QLD Government role paying $141,364 - $149,387 + 12.75% super based centrally within the Brisbane CBD.
Your new leadership role -
The role is responsible for drawing on their highly developed team management skills and communication approaches to identify, plan, manage and execute state-wide engagement and education activities with external and internal stakeholders, including government, peak body, advocacy and social services sector representatives, and lead the development and promotion of public content.

Your new leadership role -
The role is responsible for drawing on their highly developed team management skills and communication approaches to identify, plan, manage and execute state-wide engagement and education activities with external and internal stakeholders, including government, peak body, advocacy and social services sector representatives, and lead the development and promotion of public content.
- Lead the team across community education, engagement and events, public relations and communications, including internal, digital, creative and government writing, and planning.
- Lead, execute and report on sophisticated national, state-wide and targeted campaigns and education initiatives that meet the needs of various stakeholders, in alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead the implementation of the organisation’s engagement and community education strategies, including design and development of supporting plans and policies (including social media, engagement and events, advertising and marketing) to deliver efficient, purposeful and continuously improved communication and education initiatives.
- Manage professional relationships with key stakeholders including government, peak bodies, and other community focused organisations, to enhance collaboration and distribution of key messaging.
- Extensive experience within communications, engagement, advocacy and stakeholder engagement at a leadership level (5 direct reports into role)
- Ability to stategise and execute communication/engagement plans
- Previous Government or Statutory Body experience is regarded, but not essential
- Ability to engage and bring key complex stakeholders on the journey
- $141,364 - $149,387 + 12.75% super – Queensland Government permanent position!
- Central Brisbane CBD location – WFH options available
