Play a key role in managing and optimising Microsoft 365 services for a large Queensland Government Department, leading the transition from an outsourced model to in-house operations.

As the M365 Platform Lead, you will provide technical leadership, ensure security and compliance, and enhance collaboration tools across the organisation. You will work closely with ICT, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to deliver a reliable, secure, and high-performing Microsoft 365 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Microsoft 365 platform, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID
• Oversee the transition from third-party to internal support
• Implement governance, compliance, and security policies
• Automate and optimise processes using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Power Automate
• Act as the technical authority for incidents, changes, and platform enhancements

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience administering enterprise-scale M365 environments
• Strong knowledge of core M365 workloads and hybrid identity environments
• Expertise in automation, scripting, and security configuration
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, compliance tools, and governance policies
• Desirable: Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, SC-300, AZ-104), government experience
